Coastal Family Portraits

There is something magical about capturing family portraits at the beach. The unmatched, beautiful scenery and epic sunsets always make for breathtaking coastal family portraits. I recently captured the Bennington Family on the coast of Carlsbad, California to update their family photos. Not only did we have an amazing time capturing parents, Sarah and Jascha, and their adorable 4-year-old son, but even their beloved nanny and grandparents came along too, making for an amazing time and an abundance of cherished memories.

Sarah and Jascha radiated love and adoration for their sweet son throughout the session. Their tender interactions filled every frame with pure joy. It was evident that their little one was the center of their universe, and capturing the bond they shared as a family was an absolute delight. Whether Jascha was carrying his son around on his shoulders, or the family was engaging in lively tickle fight, the smiles and contagious laughter was a beautiful sight. We had such a great night together strolling and exploring various parts of the beach!

The inclusion of grandparents is always a cherished moment, as it allows for the weaving of generations into family memories, creating a lasting legacy. I know these images will be treasured for years to come. In addition, the family’s amazing nanny joined the session too! It was heartwarming to witness the special bond between the family’s nanny and their little one. It is clear that the Bennington Family absolutely adore her and that she is a huge part of their family.

As their session came to an end, the sun began to set over the Pacific Ocean, creating a stunning sunset that casted a golden glow over the water. The beautiful family of three stood on rocks watching the vibrant hues reflect off the water. It was the perfect ending to this coastal California family portrait session.
