Summer Extended Family Session

I had the absolute best time capturing the Griffin family for their summer extended family session! This beautiful family of fourteen vacationed here in Rancho Santa Fe, California. With family members coming all the way from Texas and South Carolina, the Griffins created cherished memories against the breathtaking backdrop of a California rental property.

The rental property in Rancho Santa Fe provided the perfect setting for their family portraits. On top of that, we had a beautiful summer evening filled with lots of love and sunshine. Despite the physical distances that separate them, their love for one another and their family connection shone through in each image.

I love seeing second and third family generations gathering together. The grandparents at the center of the family were surrounded by their children and spouses, and their six grandchildren. Hearing the laughter from the cousins running and dancing in the yard was priceless. With a group of 14, the energy was infectious, as love, happiness, and a whole lot of giggles filled the air. The kids also had a blast watching hot air balloons drift overhead, which was a lovely surprise to our extended family session.

To end their session, the kids jumped into the BEAUTIFUL pool at the property – photoshoot clothes and all! Capturing their splashes and shrieks of joy as they jumped in was the best ending to a photoshoot! There is nothing better than photographing children just being kids and having fun. I am so thankful I was there to photograph their carefree happiness in that moment.

A Family Legacy

The images from the Griffin’s extended family session will serve as a family legacy of love for generations to come. This vibrant family reunion and photoshoot created magical family memories that the grandparents and families will treasure forever.
