The Dausers are the sweetest family! I had the pleasure of meeting them prior to this North County San Diego family session when I photographed their gorgeous home renovation by Keri Michelle Interiors. Since that first meeting, I have had the joy of watching their little family grow, capturing first their maternity session, and then a newborn session of sweet little, Kate. Meeting new families and watching them grow is one of my favorite aspects of being a family photographer.
North County San Diego Family Session
We met in North County San Diego for their family session, which was the perfect location, as mom, Jessica, wanted a nature inspired, “woodsy” feel to their portraits. We settled on an open oak grove with lots of beautiful fields and yellow poppy flowers. The rolling green hills in the background were a beautiful sight.
While we were updating their family portraits, we were also celebrating sweet Kate’s first birthday! It is hard to believe that she is already one! It doesn’t feel like that much time has passed since I captured her as a teeny tiny newborn. Now she is moving all over and has the sweetest little personality! While capturing a few portraits of Kate, an adorable ladybug landed on her finger. Kate was so surprised and delighted by the little red bug, and her reaction made us all giggle!
Kate’s big sister, Liv, is the BEST ever! She is incredibly patient and gentle. I loved watching her steal hugs and sneak in kisses on Kate’s cheek. I am sure as these two grow, their sisterly bond will only strengthen. During the session we laughed, played, and explored the open fields. Watching kids laugh, dance around, and just have fun during sessions allows me to capture more authentic, candid moments.
I am excited to watch little Kate and Liv continue to grow. Jessica and Chris are such amazing parents and the sweetest people. You can see how much Chris loves his three girls! Thank you, Dauser Family, for trusting me with capturing your precious family memories!
