Solana Beach Family Session

I have had the great pleasure of knowing and photographing this awesome family of 7 for many years. We first met when our sons played on the same baseball team and we share the greatest little league memories together. However, time has quickly passed, the kiddos have grown, and this beautiful family has since moved away. They left California for the Arizona desert. While they’re happy in their new home, they still miss their friends and family here in California, making this the ideal spot to come visit during summer! Needless to say I was thrilled when they wanted to capture a Solana Beach family session together before heading back home to Arizona.

Solana Beach provided the perfect backdrop for this joyful session. With the ocean waves crashing in the background, the Maggio family embraced the California coast. They spent the evening sharing tons of giggles and smiles, and creating lasting memories as they ran into the ocean waves. I love how they just went for it and fully embraced the beach setting – they weren’t afraid to get wet at all!

The kiddos wound up in the water and all had the best time. Not only that, but I was able to capture the best candid images of this family interacting, having fun, and being themselves splashing in the water. It was a joy-filled session and I’m so glad I was able to see them all while they were here visiting for the summer. It was a wonderful reunion and evening watching the sun set over the ocean with this beautiful family.

As the session drew to a close, it was clear that the Maggio family vacation to their former coastal home had been a memorable one. The images captured that evening aren’t just photographs, but tokens of laughter, connection, and love. They will serve as a lasting memory of their California summer and moments shared together.
